How to cover personal information in a screenshot

Check the whole screenshot before sharing, including small details around the edges.

1. Scan before editing

Look for names, email addresses, account numbers, addresses, notifications, document titles, browser tabs, and profile pictures. A message can also reveal private context even without an identifier.

2. Cover the complete detail

Choose Solid cover and draw a rectangle that extends slightly beyond every character. Zoom in when needed. Use the position and size fields to adjust the edges.

3. Inspect the exported result

Open Review & download and check each cover. Reopen the downloaded PNG before sharing. Verify you are sharing the edited file, not the original screenshot.
