Solid cover versus blur
Understand the difference before deciding how to hide private details.

1. Solid cover replaces pixels
An opaque solid cover fills the selected region with one color. In the flattened export, the original pixels in that region are replaced. The rectangle must cover the whole sensitive detail.
2. Blur is a visual treatment
Blur mixes neighboring pixel colors. Shapes and short strings may remain recognizable or guessable. Use blur for presentation effects rather than relying on it to protect passwords or sensitive text.

3. Neither option finds details for you
You choose each area manually. Review the image for uncensored duplicates, edge fragments, notifications, and context that might identify someone.
